Coach Jorden has a rapport with the smaller children, and always makes the practices a lot of fun. Together they make a great team.

San Diego Imperial Swim

Oceanside Swim Club ("OSC") is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a fun, safe, and competitive atmosphere for your children. We are a year-round competitive swim team offering high quality professional coaching and technique instruction for ages 5 to 18 years old. We are managed by a volunteer board of directors. OSC is sponsored by the City of Oceanside and is a member of United States Swimming (USS) in the San Diego Imperial Swimming League. All of our coaches have access to the most comprehensive training and certification programs for youth coaches of any sport in the United States. The goal of our team is to provide every member an opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability, from novice to international competitor. We want to encourage our swimmers to aspire to be the very best they can be, not only while with the team, but in all areas of their lives. Competitive swimmers typically are highly motivated, not only in swimming, but also in school and at home. The rigors of training help to develop a drive and dedication that can carry the athlete throughout the rest of their lives. Oceanside Swim Club is constantly growing and training young swimmers to maintain a well-rounded competitive swim team.

There are many ways to help out at Oceanside Swim Club. The more help we get, the smoother the team runs. Parents are required to help out at meets by being a timer. It is an easy and fun way to be involved at the meets. If attending a meet be sure to sign up on the timing sheet once you arrive at the OSC canopy. OSC plans several get togethers throughout the year. Sign up sheets to help out with these will always be located at the swimming pool. OSC is required to provide officials for the meets we attend. To become and official you must sign up for a two hour class, take an open book test, and then follow another official around at a meet for a few times. This is a great way to meet other parents, learn the rules and get involved. Please ask either the Head Coach or a board member for more information. OSC depend on donations and fundraisers to keep our club running. We need everyone to help out with these fundraisers throughout the year. The main fundraiser is the Pier Swim held every year on Labor Day weekend.
